Cockatiel in a Symphony Orchestra
The story of this parrot began in December 2004, when I visited the apartment of an ornithologist couple on assignment for the glossy Riga magazine “Our Friends.” They shared their home with a wonderful cockatiel and a huge python brought from Africa.
The cockatiel lived freely in the living room, in an open cage where he felt completely at ease. He ate from his owner’s hand, perched on his head, and playfully pulled at his hair. But the most remarkable thing about this bird was that he had been trained to walk across the keyboard of a home electronic piano and press certain keys with his feet — creating recognizable popular melodies.
Recently, I had the idea to place this parrot in the setting of a grand symphony orchestra. ChatGPT brilliantly handled this task, leaving most of my original photo unchanged while preserving my copyright to the resulting image.
